Hawkins County GOP Women Take Prominent Role at TFRW Bi-annual Convention

At the capable hands of Ellen Myatt, the Hawkins County GOP women spearheaded the highly successful silent auction taking place during Friday night's banquet during the Bi-annual Convention of the Tennessee Federation of Republican Women held at the Meadowview Conference Center in Kingsport. Republian women from across Tennessee gathered to elect officers for the coming two years, train for service in upcoming campaigns, and raise money to support GOP candidates in 2008.

Hawkins County Circuit Court Clerk Holly Jaynes, Hawkins County Trustee Pat Courtney, Hawkins County GOP Women's Chairwoman Nancy Heck, Jean Price, wife of former Hawkins County GOP Chairman Bill Price, and Barbara Winstead gathered merchandise, displayed the wares, worked bid sheets and handled the accounting for the event.

Also attending from Hawkins County were Gene Heck, Bill Price, Heiskell Winstead and Mike Faulk.
