Meet the Candidates A Big Success

In spite of the cold weather, a good crowd showed up January 24th to meet the candidates before the February 5th election.

The four GOP candidates for Property Assessor were introduced by Vice-Chairman Cecile Testerman. Incumbent Don Cinnamon, Kathy Cradic, Jess Helton and Jack Price spoke telling why they were seeking office.

Also, Hubert Neal and Stacy Vaughn, candidates for County Commissioner made remarks.

State Senate hopeful Mike Faulk gave an update on his campaign.

Glenda Davis announced she would be seeking reelection to the Hawkins County School Board.

Kelli Walker, President of the newly established Young Republican's Club, gave a report noting the new club will be meeting February 18th at 6:00 PM at Charlie's Restaurant.

The next meeting of the Hawkins County GOP will be February 21st at 6:00 PM at the Court House.

Fundraising Fun: Kathy Cradic at Valley View

The Valley View Community Center hosted a Bean Supper on October 20, 2007 to raise funds for Kathy Cradic, GOP candidate for Assessor of Property in Hawkins County. A large crowd came out and everyone had a wonderful time.

Hawkins County GOP had their quarterly meeting at Price Public Community Center October 16th. William Price represented Fred Thompson, 2 representatives were present for Ron Paul, Candidate for President. Cynthia Jackson represented Congressman Davis' office. Mike Faulk, State Senate Candidate, was present. Kathy Cradic and Don Cinnamon, candidates for Property Assessor attended. The next event will be the Christmas Party December 10th 6:00 PM at Price Community Center.
